Romanticising my hometown, Bruges.

This series explores Bruges from a more contemporary perspective, focusing on the contrast between the city’s historic architecture and its modern urban character. Rather than photographing Bruges as it is traditionally represented, I looked for streets, buildings, and details that reflect a more current and personal view of the city.

The series combines modern street scenes with traditional stairway buildings, towers, and architectural details, creating a visual contrast between the familiar and the unexpected. Through this approach, I wanted to romanticise my hometown while showing a side of Bruges that feels more urban and contemporary.
